Just got a question , I live in New Brunswick Canada on the Miramichi .and I have a few big wood lots and 1 is 357 acres, not a big piece of ground,but it's old growth hardwood ridge.and I select cut my curly , birdseye and veneers. But someone went through and knocked out a piece of bark about 6x6 inches on alot of my dollar sticks. I was told that I have to cut them now ,because it will make the wood heal like litterly like an asshole , thus making it firewood .is that true?

Theses self appointed tree experts are all the same they mix a little bit of what is, or at least should be obvious to anyone who has ever been anywhere around a tree that's been cut down or dealt with fire wood or basically has had any freaking thing to do with 'tree still on the bark' with a handful of good old fashion snake oil salesman talk and make up the rest as they go along. This clown here is a perfect example of why the tree/wood market is so screwed up!

It might be good to point out there's a pretty substantial fine for cutting Burl's on public property, highly illegal here in Washington State

How do trees access the internet? They log on... Did you know that I can cut down a dead tree just by looking at it?! Its true! I saw it with my own eyes!

I am wanting to process it for knife scales or knife handle blocks 4 in sq. x 6 in long. I have searched UA-cam and have came up with very little information. Hello man. your channel is great for a young aspiring woodcarver like me. I am able to get a hold of a few birch burls and i am wondering what the best way to dry them is without making them crack at the same time as i would like them to dry fast
